It looks as though Meghan Markle truly only has a few people that she can count on these days, especially when it comes to her family back home in the United States. It’s not enough that everyone from her father to her step siblings have taken upon themselves to slam her in the media, but now her uncle is doing the same thing, too. As a matter of fact, Thomas Markle Sr.’s older brother has gone on the record to call the Duchess of Sussex a “prima donna” among other things, too. Here’s what you need to know.
Meghan Markle’s Family In The News Again
Speaking to Woman Magazine, 80-year-old Mike Markle has launched a highly personal attack on Prince Harry’s wife, despite the fact that it’s been years since they’ve last spoken. The ex-diplomat told the publication that Meghan Markle is the kind of person who has a “chip on her shoulder” and that he’s disappointed that she’s distanced herself from the rest of the family. Mike was the one who helped Meghan get a job at the U.S. Embassy in Argentina when she was just 20 years old. This is before she decided to launch her acting career in Hollywood.
Mike said, “Meghan has climbed socially and left us behind – that’s how I feel. I think that’s what happens when you are underclass and trying to rise above the reality of your situation.”
Mike also suggested that one of the reasons why Meghan Markle is having such a hard time fitting in with the rest of the royal family is because of her “prima donna” attitude. He added, “Coming from her background, she may have a chip on her shoulder. It could be that that’s part of the problem she is having with her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton. Meghan is immature in some ways. I feel that because of the way she acts – not only towards family members, but other people.”

So far, the Duchess herself has not made any comments about the interview. In fact, she has managed to ignore just about every jab and criticism that she has gotten from the press and people like her estranged sister-in-law, Samantha Markle, who has provided a running commentary of Meghan’s new royal life.
The only person who was invited to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding back in 2018 from her side of the family was her mother, Doria Ragland.

Sounds like Mike Markle is the one with a chip on his shoulder.Why does this man refer to Meghan as underclass?It is the bulk of her family that is behaving as underclass people, not Meghan.Hard to believe that Mike Markle is a former diplomat as he seems so lacking in diplomacy.Many of Meghan’s family have been downright cruel to her and it is smart of her to distance herself from that cruelty and drama.It seems to me that she is just trying to navigate her situation the best way she knows how while members of her family and the British press try to make her life as difficult as possible.
