Meghan Markle’s Father Thomas Markle Sr Opens Up About Heartbreaking Letter

Thomas Markle Sr. says that there’s a good reason why he decided to make public his daughter Meghan Markle’s a very ‘hurtful’ letter to him last summer. The former lighting director is opening up about his ongoing and very public feud with his daughter and why he decided to make public a letter that was only intended for him. Just this past week Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have decided to sue The Mail on Sunday for publishing the letter, claiming that the publication has breached copyright, infringed her privacy and breached the Data Protection Act.

According to Britain’s Express, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also says that the publication supposedly edited the letter by “strategically omitting select paragraphs, specific sentences, and even singular words to mask the lies they had perpetuated for over a year.”

However, Thomas Markle claims that he never intended on sharing the letter and that he only did so six months after he received it from his daughter. In a move that will clearly not go over very well with his daughter, Thomas decided to grant yet another interview with The Mail on Sunday this past weekend.

He said, “I have to defend myself. I only released parts of the letter because other parts were so painful. The letter didn’t seem loving to me.”

Meanwhile, Prince Harry is doing whatever he can to defend his wife against the media “bullies” who have continually made negative statements, bullied and mocked her for the last year. He said in an official statement, “I lost my mother and now I watch my wife falling victim to the same powerful forces. Though this action may not be the safe one, it is the right one. Because my deepest fear is history repeating itself. I’ve seen what happens when someone I love is commoditized to the point that they are no longer treated or seen as a real person.”

So far Meghan Markle herself has not made any comments about the controversy. The last time that the Duchess spoke to her father was before her royal wedding to Prince Harry back in May of 2018.
