British royal family news reveals that Meghan Markle was an acclaimed basic cable actress before taking the royal plunge.

Her breakout role was as Rachel Zane on “Suits” and since she has struggled to reach that same level of fame.

Did you know that Meghan Markle starred in two Hallmark movies? Meghan starred as Amy Peterson in the 2014 flick “When Sparks Fly” and in 2016 she played the role of Cass in “Dater’s Handbook.”

According to TheList.com, fellow actor Kristoffer Polaha portrayed one of the show’s romantic leads, Robert: “During their three weeks on set, Polaha and Meghan discussed their aspirations and goals. One of the things that she was really clear about was that she didn’t want to be an actress forever. She was already a part of the UN doing stuff for children, education, and women’s rights in Africa.”

The outlet notes that Megahn tried to keep in touch with Polaha after the movie ended. She apparently gave him Christmas gifts and “When Rafaella Rabinovich, the movie’s costume designer, had a birthday during the filming, the duchess and Polaha took her out to celebrate.”

Apparently Meghan’s generosity started early on in her life. One of her former teachers, Illise Faye, said in the True Royalty TV documentary “Meghan for President?” that Meghan “would stand up for what she believed in, and she was a leader among her friends.”

Did you know that Meghan was an early supporter of significant social causes such as gender equality? At the tender age of 11, the woman who would later become known to the world as the Duchess of Sussex, protested against a Procter & Gamble dish soap ad.

According to Meghan, she wrote to the company, complaining that their tv commercial used the word “women” instead of “people.” Meghan uttered this anecdote at the 2015 UN Women’s Advocate for Women’s Political Participation and Leadership conference.

It was just a couple of years after “Dater’s Handbook” that Meghan Markle met and was engaged to Prince Harry. The world may never know what she could have achieved had she continued to serve the people through protests and such.
