Meghan Markle’s Jam Called ‘Landfill Waste’

Meghan Markle's Jam Called 'Landfill Waste'British royal family news reveals that Meghan Markle’s jam from her “As ever” line is available to buy this week. This includes her so-called “raspberry spread.” It, along with strawberry preserves of unknown origin, were first touted last year.

The jam has been elevated with “keepsake packaging” as shown in videos posted to social media by Meghan’s friend Abigail Spencer. Here’s an inside look at what you can expect to receive should you wish to part with your money.

The extra packaging consists of a cream-colored tube with the company logo on it, the jam resting inside. While there were a few compliments expressed, others are outraged by what they are calling environmentally unfriendly packaging.

Someone commented on X that the Discount Duchess’s “packaging is an environmental nightmare.

For one 7.6 oz jar of product, there’s so much unnecessary waste destined for the landfill” while another wrote “The packaging is an environmentally-conscious person’s worst nightmare come true.”

Meghan’s As ever Raspberry Spread Tube Is Silly

The sentiment was much the same on Instagram with one person writing “What about supporting local farmers and farm shops that sell homemade jams, not made in a factory without all the wasteful and unnecessary packaging?”

To be fair, we don’t yet know if Meghan Sussex of Markle’s As ever raspberry spread tubes can be recycled. At the very least, the excess packaging (when have you ever seen Schmucker’s in a cardboard tube?) does not fall in line with Meghan and her second husband Prince Harry’s blather about being environmentally responsible.

In 2021 Huggy and Druggy announced on their Archewell Foundation website that the company would achieve “net zero carbon emissions by 2030.”

This is the same couple who lied and said that a man of the cloth, the Archbishop of Canterbury, violated church policy to make them happy.

How Sustainable is Meghan and Harry’s Reputation?

As ever isn’t linked to Archewell, and a sustainability statement hasn’t been issued for the latest Markle fad.

But Meghan waxed poetic about the over-the-top packaging in an email announcement noting that the jam is “presented in keepsake packaging that you can repurpose to tuck away love notes or special treasures and to remember this pivotal moment with me. Think of it as our time capsule.”

Even then, not everyone was on board with the explanation. One X user wrote that the beige tube was more appropriate for a candle or perfume.

One person took the cake posting: “[Jam] doesn’t require an entire presentation. This packaging is as pretentious as she is. If it was aged whisky I’d get it, but fruit spread?… is she serious?”
