British royal family news shows that Meghan Markle has gone from princesshood to selling cheap wares online. Her As ever raspberry jam was sold for a few minutes last week and now the reviews are in.
It took a year for the jam to come to fruit-ition and one royal expert was lucky enough to get her hands on a jar—here’s her verdict on Walmart Wallis’ preserves.
The Duchess’ Famous Jamscam
Jane Herz wrote in the Daily Mail that although the jars sold out in minutes when they debuted last Wednesday, she was “lucky” enough to get a $14 raspberry spread in it’s trademark toilet paper roll packaging—it’s a keepsake according to Markle.
Meghan infamously sent 50 jars of strawberry jam to influencers last year but barely a handful acknowledged being on Meghan’s mailing list.
Meghan claims that the current raspberry fruit spread “is inspired by the recipe Meghan crafted in her home kitchen.” So, not the rental kitchen she used to film her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan?

Meghan told her fans that her jam “can’t technically be called jam, because ‘jam is equal parts sugar and fruit.’”
Again Meghan is almost correct. According to Food & Wine, the FDA mandates that “jam” must come from a single fruit, with at least 45 percent fruit and 55 percent sugar.
So, what Meghan is selling under the As Ever label can’t be called a jam nor a preserve. She’s calling it a spread of raspberries, organic pure cane sugar, and organic lemon juice concentrate.
When Herz tried the spread she found a “handwritten’ note from Meghan herself right on top, printed on a thick postcard with her As Ever branding stamped in gold foil.” On the backside of the car is the message (in Meghan’s scribbly calligraphy): ‘Enjoy – Meghan.’
A Spread Tester Found Meghan’s Jam Lacking
The reviewer noted that the packaging is over-the-top, more appropriate for a luxury candle.
What about the jam?
It is a “minuscule size … containing just 215 grams of spread for $14, or $9 without the keepsake packaging.” Right now customers can only choose the keepsake toilet paper roll packaging option.
The big question is, how does the spread taste? You’re not going to like the description: “very liquid and quite thin – a bit ‘loose,’ if you will. If we hadn’t known better, we’d have thought it melted during its expedited journey to us.” Oh my.
Even worse, “Meghan’s raspberry spread … dripped off the silverware like a sauce. It was unappealing to say the least.”
The reviewer tried it “by the spoonful, which left us grimacing from the sweetness, we spread some on a toasted piece of sourdough, which is where things began to take a turn for the worse.”
The toast was left a soggy mess, and the reviewer suggests that Meghan “come up with a different recipe.”
Tell us fans, have you tried Meghan’s spread? What does it taste like?

Why would anyone buy fruit spread from Meghan Markle? She is definitely not a chef. What she is, is a disgrace to the Royal Family.
