Meghan Markle’s mental health is supposedly at risk because of a huge family scandal. In fact, there’s even speculation suggesting the Duchess of Sussex doesn’t want to return to the UK because she’s never been this embarrassed before in her life.

It’s been said that Meghan’s estranged father, Thomas Markle, has some explaining to do as local law enforcement has seized explicit photos from his home in The Philippines.

Thomas Markle himself has not made any comments about the matter, but the scandal has already made headlines all across the world.

It’s so bad that even Meghan’s estranged brother, Thomas Markle, Jr., is distancing himself from their father, as detailed by Page Six.

For the Duchess of Sussex, this is the last thing that she wants to deal with right now. Both she and Prince Harry moved back to the UK in the hopes that they can start their lives over and move closer to the royal family, but it doesn’t appear that will happen anytime soon.

Plus, it’s also been said that Harry and Meghan have fled the UK and don’t plan on coming back any time in the near future.

What’s Next For The Duchess of Sussex?

Because the couple have a vacation home in Portugal, a lot of royalist can’t help but wonder if the Sussexes took their two children, Archie and Lilibet, with them for a short break in the hopes that they can get away from all the nasty headlines about Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, that is currently circulating in the media.

One source close to the situation even put it this way to Hello Magazine, “She’s just really, really upset. She keeps on looking at Lili and she’s in tears, and thinking about all the children, the alleged victims. She has young children herself. It’s just devastating.”

The insider added, “She decided a while ago, before this happened, that she was going to take herself away from the media and not look at anything, for her own mental health. But obviously, she’s been getting sent a lot of messages from friends in the UK and people all over saying how sorry they are, but it’s just been an emotional rollercoaster for her. She’s in bits.”

Now, whether or not Meghan Markle will return to the spotlight in the coming weeks, remains to be seen. So far the Duchess of Sussex herself has not made any comments about the matter just yet.
