Meghan Markle’s Met Gala ‘No Show’ Proves Americans Aren’t Thrilled With Duchess

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have concluded their three-day tour of Nigeria to champion Invictus Games and are now back in the US.

With everything that’s been going on with the couple – via the launch of American Riviera Orchard, Harry’s Netflix Polo docuseries and Meghan’s cooking show – experts are beginning to question their relevancy in the US.

Who’s interested to see a Prince play Polo or watch a Duchess cook?

Americans Have Reportedly Lost Interest In the Sussexes For This Reason

Harry and Meghan’s move to the US in 2020 was rife with controversies, yes, but not enough to rival the ones they created by attacking the royal family through as many media platforms as they could lay their hands on – I’m talking books, podcasts, talkshows, interviews, documentaries and so on and so forth.

Even though the couple seem to be keen on moving on from their tumultuous past, Daily Mail columnist believes they’ve lost favor in the eyes of the Americans when they “sold out Harry’s family multiple times through multiple high-profile platforms.”

This has made it hard for Harry and Meghan to fully integrate into Hollywood as high profile celebrities.

Callahan explained: “We recently had the Met Gala, and there were no shortage of starlets on that red carpet. One very significant person is missing from that red carpet, and that would be Meghan Markle.”

She further noted that Anna Wintour is a self-avowed monarchist and wouldn’t want to be caught up in the couple’s wind, despite Harry and Meghan’s close relationship with Vogue.

Royal Commentator Explains How Vogue Threw Shade At Meghan Markle With Their Pre-Met Gala Piece

Callahan then recalled a piece Vogue released a few days prior to the Met Gala, explaining how that could have been a shade to the couple.

Speaking to GBNA, Callahan said: “Vogue did an incredible write-up right before the gala of a dinner that Gwyneth Paltrow hosted at her Montecito estate, so a neighbour of Harry and Meghan. It was a Goop collaboration, and among her guest list were Oprah Winfrey and Ted Sarandos. So here’s Meghan attempting to get her little lifestyle brand off the ground, and Goop is clearly a model for her.”

Callahan added: “Oprah, who conducted that very first bombshell interview that aired all over the world, and Ted Sarandos, who cut those two a check for a reported $100million, and since cancelled their docuseries, has given Meghan a dubious cooking show. They’re on the guest list at Gwyneth Paltrow’s Montecito estate, and Meghan Markle is not there”

She concluded: “The Vogue write-up had all these little like winks and nods of shade thrown her way. They called Montecito, you know, quote-unquote, the American Riviera.

“It was all just little daggers sheathed in there. It was great. And it’s further proof to any doubtful Briton that we here in America see Meghan Markle for exactly who she is.”
