Meghan Markle’s Mother Doria Ragland Arrives In London – Time For Royal Baby?

It looks as though the day is almost here! There are new reports that say Meghan Markle’s mother Doria Ragland has arrived in London, prompting speculation that the Duchess of Sussex will be giving birth sooner rather than later. Previous reports have indicated that Meghan’s mother will be spending time with her royal daughter in London, as she will help her get settled in her new role as a mother. Here’s what you need to know.

According to People Magazine, Doria has arrived in the U.K. from Los Angeles ahead of the birth of her first grandchild. Even though Kensington Palace has not made any comments about Meghan’s due date, the Duchess did tell a well-wisher back in January that she was due during the last week of April. This will be the first child for Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry.

Doria, who is a social worker and a yoga instructor in Los Angeles, has a very close relationship with her daughter. As a matter of fact, Doria was Meghan’s only family member who attended her royal wedding to Prince Harry back in May of last year. She’s also visited the royal couple multiple times in the last several months.

The royal family has also been very welcoming of Doria. After Prince Charles walked Meghan down the aisle on her wedding day, he escorted Doria down the steps of St. George’s Chapel after the ceremony. Prince Harry also appears to have a very special and close relationship with his mother-in-law.

With that said, no one knows how long Doria Ragland will remain in London this time around, although there’s speculation that she might stay for several months. Meghan Markle is expected to be on her maternity leave until at least the end of the summer. The Duke and Duchess will be raising their baby at Windsor Castle’s Frogmore Cottage.

A source told People Magazine that Doria won’t be a live-in grandmother. After Meghan’s maternity leave is over, she will fly back to Los Angeles and then visit her daughter and grandchild periodically. In the meantime, we will update you with all the latest news on Meghan Markle’s pregnancy!
