The Duchess of Sussex was on hand for a Children’s Hospital charity gala in Los Angeles this past weekend. And while she certainly did dazzle while on the red carpet, it looks like that’s the only thing that Meghan did that night.

That’s because there are reports that say Prince Harry’s wife left through a back door before the event even began. In other words, she was only there to have her photo taken on the red carpet before she made a beeline for the exit. 

For a lot of royal fans, they can’t believe that Meghan would do such a thing. It’s not only a very unroyal thing to do, but it’s the wrong thing to do, too. There’s no way that Kate Middleton would ever just walk a red carpet without actually having to do the work, too.

But for Meghan Markle, that’s just the way that she operates these days. A lot of people might not agree with it, but for the duchess, that doesn’t really matter.

All she wants to do is be seen in the right places. She’s desperate for some positive headlines right now and she knows that at least pretending to go to a children’s gala is the only way to do it. Plus, she’s got other pressing matters at the moment.

So far the Duchess of Sussex herself has not made any comments about the criticism she’s received but at this point it’s doubtful that she will.
