Meghan Markle’s Reaction to Met Gala Snub Reportedly Speaks Volumes

The 2026 Met Gala is almost here, with invitations already being sent out to several A-listers and elite public figures.

They call it fashion’s biggest night, with the who’s who of Hollywood walking the red carpet in clothes made by designers so famous they’ve become global brands.

This year will not be any different, with stars like Kris Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Cardi B, Doechii, Anne Hathaway, SZA, Megan Thee Stallion, Sydney Sweeney, Rosalía, Kelly Rowland, Cara Delevingne and Addison Rae, already receiving their golden tickets.

Two people are notably absent from the list, and it is Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Here’s how the couple is taking the apparent snub.

Meghan Markle Believes Her Met Gala Invitation Is Yet To Arrive

Even though the bulk, if not all, of the Met Gala invites have already been sent out, a source is telling us that Meghan hasn’t yet lost all hope.

The source said, “Meghan is still convinced her invite is coming. She refuses to accept it’s not going to happen.”

This is, of course, in spite of the fact that the grand occasion will be taking place next month.

Meghan could have enjoyed a better relationship with former Vogue editor Anna Wintour, since their rapport was fairly off to a good start when she first made a splash worldwide for dating Britain’s Prince Harry. At the time, she was even invited to edit the UK edition of Vogue.

However, things got a little sour when Meghan made so many demands she fell out of favor of British Vogue editor Edward Enninful in 2022.

Due to this, many have assumed that relations has remained frosty, and with Meghan’s controversial image to consider, Wintour doesn’t feel she’s worth the hassle.

“People are just kind of over her,” a Newsnation source revealed. “She sucks the air out of every room and makes it about herself. Anna [Wintour] does not want that.”

Last October, Meghan Markle jetted off to Paris for a Balenciaga event that saw her sporting a much-criticized white outfit.

During the event, she more or less ran into Wintour, and apparently, according to her at least, they shared a positive reunion.

“Meghan says she and Anna had such a lovely moment in Paris last year, and Anna gave the impression that all the bad blood was water under the bridge,” the source said.

They added: “Anna even complimented her outfit and talked about how they needed to get together for drinks. It was totally positive, so in Meghan’s view, it just doesn’t make sense that she and Harry would be left off the list.”
