Evidently, Meghan Markle couldn’t stand the constraints placed on her during her time as “working Royal.” Indeed, reports from British publications as well as a new tell-all book due on July 15, 2020, indicate that an entire litany of “of advisors, aides and equerries who hold the real power,” attempted to help Meghan maintain a more private, conservative image out of the limelight. This is, after all, something Meghan herself has frequently declared that she desired.

However, it appears that these Royal staff members tried “too hard” for Meghan’s taste because she eventually went out and hired a high profile PR firm to “boost her image.” So much for Meghan’s wanting to keep a relatively low profile, eh? In fact, it seems Meghan has two diametrically opposed belief systems waging war somewhere deep in her brain. On the one hand, she wants privacy with no photographs snapped of herself or Harry or Baby Archie. On the other, Meghan pays to push her face out in all media.

In any case, Meghan was miffed at the Royal communications team for “stifling her.” The Duchess of Sussex says she doesn’t want all the attention fame brings, but when it disappears, she seems to do her damnedest to get it back!

Clearly there was either a great deal of miscommunication between Meghan Markle and her Royal staff or Meghan truly was incredibly difficult to deal with since investigative authors Andy Tillett and Dylan Howard made sure to mention in their book, “Royals at War,” that at least five of Meghan’s aides quit following her marriage to Prince Harry.

Now, there are also rumors that Queen Elizabeth wasn’t happy at all behind the scenes when it came to Meghan Markle’s behavior. Essentially, Meghan Markle’s conduct threatened to take over the conversation when it came to the British Royal family as a whole. In other words, there might be official policy and tradition concerning the British Royals, but no one would be paying attention to Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Prince William, and Kate … anything … other than the most recent and unfamiliar actions of Meghan Markle. Indeed, Meghan’s activities, which some might consider “foreign influence” within Buckingham Palace.

This is also why some royal “experts” believe that while Queen Elizabeth and other Royal family members were very public in their statements that they were upset about what has come to be known as “Megxit,” the truth is something else entirely. The only issue with kicking Prince Harry and Meghan to the curb actually have to do with the fact that even then, Meghan and Harry might be able to rebrand themselves as the “newer, more enlightened, and more progressive” members of the family. Certainly, there were fears that Harry and Meghan would begin to steal the Royal brand entirely … making the monarchy disliked and increasingly irrelevant.

The issue at play here is that Queen Elizabeth and The Firm has a philosophy of “We” and the “Collective’ and “The Family.” In stark contrast, and as many can apparently attest, Meghan Markle’s all about “Me, My, and Mine.” (Just consider Meghan’s treatment of her father and siblings.) As many have said when it comes to reasons some within the Royal family may dislike Meghan … it’s not about bigotry.

It’s about Meghan’s character as a human being.
