‘Megxit’ Is Harry’s Way of Protecting Meghan Markle From Mental Distress?

Royal news suggests that wanting independence might not be the only reason for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s “Megxit” decision. Considering her struggle with royal life, could it be Harry’s way of protecting Meghan from further mental distress?

Meghan Markle’s Struggle

Ever since Meghan married into royalty, she has struggled. Most understand that she is trying her best, but living a proper royal life is difficult and some people have a knack at it while others don’t.

She seems to be reaching out in subtle ways to express her struggle. One example is the interview in which nobody asked her if she was okay. This seems to imply that she is having trouble coping with such a demanding life.

Prince Harry’s Protective Nature

Recently, it was stated that Prince Harry is protective by nature. He has stood up for family, friends and fellow soldiers during his military service. Since getting married and having a son, that protective nature has kicked in to keep his family safe. That doesn’t just mean physically, but emotionally, spiritually and mentally too.

Could Meghan’s be struggling more than the public realizes? Is the “Megxit” decision a way for Harry to protect Meghan from a life that might be too demanding for her? Stepping down from royal duties and living in part-time would keep her part of the Royal Family, but keep her from feeling the overwhelming effects at the same time.

Severing Ties With Close Friends

People magazine published a report indicating that Harry began cutting ties with people during Meghan’s pregnancy. That trend seems to have continued as he even severed connections with people who thought they were close. Although they understand things change after having a family, there is some resentment.

Duke of Sussex Returns to Canada

It was reported that Meghan didn’t show up to the summit with the Royal Family on Monday. They were expecting her to call in, but there are conflicting reports on whether she did or not. While everyone is working to iron out the details of “Megxit,” Meghan was in Canada.

However, she is keeping busy on community projects close to her heart. Most recently, she visited a Vancouver women’s shelter to discuss the issues that affect the residents of the poorest neighborhood in the city.
