Mike Tindall Reveals This One Sweet Royal Family Detail

In his new interview with The Telegraph ahead of the release of his book, ‘The Good, the Bad & the Rugby – Unleashed,’ the former rugby star talked about his transition to life within the Royal Family, and how it wasn’t as fussy as one would generally expect.

He told the outlet that Royal life wasn’t something he dreaded for one moment because the family was always nice to him.

In a snippet of the book, he further wrote: “Believe it or not, marrying into the Royal family was pretty easy for me. They were always nice to me, and I was always nice to them. Simple really.”

Tindall’s relationship with Prince William has been one that’s been well-documented, with many a royal fans seeing him as the best brother replacement anyone can have.

While Tindall isn’t a working royal, he is often seen with the family during important royal gatherings. In fact, his presence in the royal family runs deeper than just a hug and a smile. Earlier this year, a royal labelled him the “glue of their generation of royals, no matter how serious the occasion.”

The source also praised Tindall for his unregal approach to interacting with the royal kids.

“While some family members can be very ‘royal’, Mike is just himself and is relaxed and playful with George, Charlotte and Louis. It helps that they all have children around the same age that they can fool around together privately and bring a sense of normality to what is a stressful situation for everyone involved.”

Mike has also proven to be a proud uncle, writing, “George loves his football. I’ve played numerous times in the garden with him. He’s passionate about Aston Villa, too. Wherever he is, he’ll sit down and watch that game.”

Everybody needs a Tindall, don’t we?
