More Trouble Ahead For Meghan Markle’s As Ever Logo & Copycat Emblem

More Trouble Ahead For Meghan Markle’s As Ever Logo & Copycat EmblemBritish royal family news reveals that Meghan Markle has kluged together her latest brand, a hodge podge of the dead-in-the water “American Riviera Orchard” to some blunder called “As Ever.” What ever.

This week the Douchess fawned in an Instagram video that she has decided to reverse course, dump ARO, and put in its place As Ever, to sell jam and whatever.

She announced that As Ever was a name she secured back in 2022. That’s a lie. According to Vanity Fair, “An active application at the US Patent and Trademark Office shows that she and her legal team applied in September of 2024.”

Here’s what to know about Megs’ latest failure and why the mess she’s created is allegedly even bigger than Pinocchio’s nose.

Meghan Markle Strives to Tell the Truth

The outlet notes that immediately after Meghan’s breathy video announcement, not one but two other brands who use the name “As Ever” made their voices known on social media. Here’s an idea: let’s call Meghan’s brainchild Never Was.

Meghan took the name of a New York-based clothing brand owned by Mark Kolski. He went online to say he heard about Meghan’s faux pas: “I want to say thank you to all the old friends who know and love our small family brand As Ever, and also say hi to all those that have just become aware we exist. In the last 36 hours there has been an outpouring of support and concern regarding recent events around our namesake brand. We are aware. We are not affiliated.”

Meghan Took Someone Else’s Brand Name Twice

Kolski told Vanity Fair that “I’m really not that hard to find” indicating that Meghan did not do her due diligence. Does he plan on rolling over for Grifter? No chance. He intends to keep his name, the one he had before Meghan did.

But wait, there’s more! At least one other company also uses the name As Ever. Jen Corbett is an Arizona-based wedding photographer who has used the handle for over 10 years.

She posted “When one of the most famous people in the world starts using your biz name of 12+ years (that you named in honor of your grandmother), seems like they could throw me a lil bone?” Woof.

What Will Meghan Do Next?

Intellectual property lawyer notes that the situation Meghan is in is not rare. He said it can happen “when people file a broad application. She filed an Intent to Use application—that means you don’t get any trademark rights until you use it for commerce.”

He added that Grifter has “about two years in terms of extending that deadline.”

Meghan may be a failure but at least she’s consistent. Trademark issues plaugued her attempt to launch American Riviera Orchard and the PTO ultimately denied her.

But there’s even more doo clinging to Meghan’s relaunch. Her shiny new emblem, a palm tree flanked by two hummingbirds, looks just like that of a Mallorcan town’s coat of arms. That town’s mayor called her artwork “a total copy” and wants Meghan to change it.
