New Docs Reveal The Depth Of Prince Andrew’s Relationship With Chinese Spy

New Docs Reveal The Depth Of Prince Andrew's Relationship With Chinese SpyLast year, Prince Andrew was unwittingly dragged back to newspaper headlines when his relationship with a Chinese spy was revealed.

At the time, this spy was known simply as “H6.” It was sometime later that his name was revealed to be Yang Tengbo and that he was suspected to have been spying on the UK on behalf of the Chinese government.

No one knows the type or importance of the information he gained from Prince Andrew, but what’s known is that he used him to gain access to certain royal residences. Here’s every new evidence that has emerged from the case so far.

Prince Andrew’s Former Employee Opens About His Business Dealings With the Chinese Spy

On Friday, British courts released documents that detailed Prince Andrew’s close partnership with suspected Chinese spy Yang Tengbo.

In the 10-page statement drafted by the Duke of York’s former employee, Dominique Hampshire, we learned that Tengbo helped connect the British Prince to the Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Tengbo, as you might know, was deported and banned from entering the UK after former Home Secretary Suella Braverman found that “his presence posed a threat to our national security.”

Braverman made this decision based on the advice of the UK’s domestic security agency, M15. Tengbo continues to deny any wrongdoing, instead attempting to appeal his exclusion from the UK, which he lost in December last year.

In the statement, Hampshire recalled helping Andrew draft letters to Xi discussing the Eurasia Fund.

In his written evidence to the tribunal, Tengbo described this as a way to “upgrade” the duke’s Pitch@Palace initiative “into an investment-type business, or a fund.” In addition to this, he revealed that he was tasked with talking to “relevant people” in China, per British press agency PA.

Speaking on this in his statement, Hampshire said, “The royal household, including the late queen, were fully aware of this communication – it was certainly accepted and it may be fair to say it was even encouraged – it was an open channel of communication that was useful to have.”

Hampshire also recalled accompanying Andrew to meet King Charles on two occasions to discuss “what the duke can do moving forwards in a way that is acceptable to His Majesty.” Their discussions was said to include talks about the Eurasia Fund.

To prevent any misreporting, the palace quickly clarified that while the Fund was discussed, Tengbo was by no means mentioned or was his involvement a topic of interest.

Yang Tengbo Never Had A Direct Line To Prince Andrew, Former Employee Claims

Despite their business dealings, Andrew’s relationship with Tengbo – who also goes by the name Chris – never crossed over to their personal lives.

“Chris, of course, doesn’t have the duke’s telephone number or his email address and does not have the ability to talk directly to the duke on his own – ever. This is normal practice and Chris’s relationship with the duke is the same as numerous others,” he said.

He further vouched that Andrew cut off all communications with Tengbo as per advice.
