Sitting down with Oprah Winfrey to do a tell-all interview might have been the spark, but the ensuing interviews and character assassinations he launched against his family only served to improve the strength of this rift.
However, there was always one royal who refused to leave their courtside, and that was Princess Eugenie, who you may remember played a more or less prominent role in Harry and Meghan’s early romantic days.
These days, reports suggest differently. At the heart of this brand new royal rift is one of the Sussexes’ most fiercest critics: Piers Morgan himself.
Piers Morgan Confirms He Inspired Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie’s Rift
Prince Harry’s relationship with his royal cousin Princess Eugenie has reportedly soured of late, and Piers Morgan thinks he knows why.
See, in April last year, Eugenie was pictured hugging Piers Morgan, creating an image that made Harry to go “completely ballistic.”

A source speaking to The Sun revealed at the time, “A dim view was taken of [Eugenie and Piers spending time together], as Piers has clashed with Meghan and Harry in the past. Eugenie has been supportive of Meghan and Harry for years and was right there at the beginning of their relationship—but it has now soured.”
Morgan would later go on to confirm the rift himself, saying on Uncensored, “Well, that was because of me actually—the Eugenie thing—because she was with me and a group of other people in a pub in London. I was seen hugging them goodbye, and Harry saw this and went completely ballistic. And I can confirm—breaking news—that this is entirely true.”
For anyone who might have forgotten, Morgan took an extremely offensive view to Meghan Markle saying she suffered from suicidal thoughts when she was pregnant with her firstborn, Archie. At the time, Morgan had called her a liar and claimed he didn’t believe her.
Meghan also made claims that she requested medical aid but was promptly denied due to the firm wanting to maintain its polished image.
These days, Harry and Meghan spend their time in Montecito, California, bouncing from one controversy to the next. Last year, it was claims that Meghan was an awful boss, this year it’s that Harry is a racist and a misogynoir.
