Piers Morgan Walks Off ITV’s Good Morning Britain For Good

Drama, drama, drama; it may have started with Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex and Harry’s groundbreaking interview with Oprah Winfrey, but it sure was carried on by Piers Morgan. Over the last three days, the world existing inside the internet has been kept busy by Morgan’s many faces of news breaking antics; from a scathing attack on Meghan, to defending his attack, storming off stage when confronted about his recent Markle obsession, being investigated by Ofcom as a result of getting 14,000 complaints against him, and finally leaving ITV for good.
But don’t worry, the door certainly didn’t kick him on the way out, as his last day on GMB happened to be the best day GMB’s ever had, for the ratings I mean, they might be missing Piers.
While in the outside world, we’ve got many problems we’re currently facing, for example, we’re still suffering from a pandemic no one wants, the internet has Piers Morgan to worry about.
Exiting ITV’s Good Morning Britain On A High Note
On March 9, during a GMB live show, Morgan stormed off stage after being confronted by a co-presenter, Alex Beresford. After the whole live incident, Morgan explained that he wasn’t comfortable with being called diabolical by a colleague and that was why he took off like that, though he need not be reminded that he had called a certain Duchess a liar and a self-serving person.
A lot of people were disgusted by his move and complained about it. For some reason, Morgan tweeted a quote by Sir Winston Churchill, “Some people’s idea of free speech is that they are free to say what they like, but if anyone says anything back, that is an outrage,” which was how everybody thought of him when he walked off GMB’s stage after a brief confrontation by a person of color.
On that same March 9, Piers Morgan received 41,000 official complaints against him, almost the highest number of complaints received, and this prompted Ofcom to launch an investigation on Monday morning’s episode of Good Morning Britain, under their harm and offence rules

How Did Piers Morgan Storming Off The Stage Affect GMB
After the whole drama on live television, a nearly two-minute clip of Piers being confronted by Alex Beresford took over the internet. It was so popular that a lot of people speculated that the whole thing was a stunt to get more viewers and publicity, which kinda happens to be the two best things TV shows love. A statement from ITV’s chief executive Dame Carolyn assured everyone that what happened on GMB earlier in the day was not stage managed, and that it was all real.
In Morgan’s own words, “BREAKING NEWS: Good Morning Britain beat BBC Breakfast in the ratings yesterday for the first time. My work is done.”
And in an earlier tweet, he wrote, “BREAKING NEWS: Yesterday’s @GMB smashed our all-time highest ratings. 31% share (previous high, 28%) peaking at 37%. Closest ever gap to @BBCBreakfast. Thanks for watching!”

Piers is entitled to his opinion just like everyone else. I think he should have exercised some self-control. I don't feel either Piers or Oprah are unbiased and would have preferred to watch a more balanced interview and following media opinion, but at this point I just want it to all end for everyone's sake. There are obviously facts and fiction in this family drama. The public probably needed some calm media people to point these out so the public could have better established what is true and what is false and what might be just misconstrued family situations, which is really for their family to privately sort out. We cannot just take Harry and Megan's opinions as either true or false, we weren't there and obviously the entire family always has a lot going on in service to their people, so each family members view or recollection could differ. Ask some family members today about an event you had a year or two ago, and I bet there would be different recollections. I noticed as my own family elders age the stories they told me as a child differed with age. Anyone researching family history or stories need to get important family stories written down before time sets in blurring facts. I feel sorry for any family in turmoil royal or otherwise.
