Prince Andrew Joined King Charles For Easter Outing Prince William and Kate Skipped!

Prince Andrew Joined King Charles For Easter Outing Prince William and Kate Skipped!Prince Andrew and his family joined King Charles for Easter church outing on April 20, despite the former no longer being a working royal. Here’s the reason why he can still join the Royal Family on these rare outings.

Reason Prince Andrew Joined King Charles For Easter Outing Explained

Prince William and Princess Kate were MIA during this year’s Easter church outing, even though they’d returned from their little family trip abroad. Reports state that they opted to enjoy a quiet Easter away from the spotlight.

This would mark the second time in a row that they’ve missed the church gathering. In 2024, they missed the Sunday service due to Kate’s chemotherapy treatments.

Some say the Waleses’ decision to skip the outing and celebrate privately hints at a growing fracture between them and King Charles, while others see it as the couple’s desire for privacy.

However, this did not mean that the family circle was small, because Prince Andrew attended the church gathering with daughters Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice and ex Sarah Ferguson.

Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson were joined by Princess Anne – the Princess Royal – and her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence in the car. Eugenie and Beatrice arrived separately with their husbands.

Prince Andrew may have stepped back from royal duties in 2019, shortly after the backlash that followed his Newsnight interview, but he continues to join the family for holiday gatherings.

Since Easter and Christmas outings are considered a family event, he has continued to join them for each one despite no longer being a working royal.

Last year December was an exception, as the Duke opted to miss the outing due to an ongoing investigation into his ties with Chinese spy Yang Tengbo.

He didn’t only skip their traditional Christmas morning church outing and walkabout, which usually includes a meet and greet with fans and well-wishers, but had previously declined to take part in the Christmas luncheon on December 19.
