Prince Andrew To Be Stripped Of Titles And Roles Even If He Wins His NYC Lawsuit
According to reports, the Duke of York’s title must be put into abeyance ahead of a possible interrogation by U.K.’s Met Police.
But one insider is of the mind that his Dukedom has become insufferable and he should be stripped of all his titles. “If the case succeeds he must go and that is the correct decision.”
Another added: “Even if Andrew is completely exonerated from any wrongdoing he is now regarded as toxic. It is expected he will do the decent thing and resign.”
But Andrew’s legal team is fighting to have the case “thrown out” of the court. His lawyers recently argued that the discovery process should be halted while they quiz Virginia Giuffre under oath to investigate whether the mom-of-three, who currently resides in Australia, was “domiciled” in the U.S. as she claimed.
If Not, Andrew’s Lawyers Are Saying That An NYC Court Would Not Be The Correct Jurisdiction For The Case.
However, their bid was paused two days after Andrew’s university pal Ghislaine Maxwell was found guilty of five out of six charges. The British heiress is now facing up to 65 years in jail.
In the meantime, Prince Andrew’s hotshot Hollywood lawyer Andrew Brettler is arguing that Virginia Giuffre’s lawsuit goes against the 2009 agreement she signed with Epstein to not sue any other “potential defendant.” Submitted court documents disclosed that Giuffre received a sum of $500,000 when she signed the contract with the late financier Epstein.
Furthermore, the duke’s lawyer said about the claim for damages brought by Ms. Giuffre: “It is unfair, it is unjust, it should be dismissed.”
