Prince Andrew is crawling out of the cracks to make it known that he plans to fight Giuffre’s accusations, despite previously settling around this time last year for over $10 million.
The stars have obviously aligned and Andrew is feeling that he could use this opportunity to overturn a case that has seen him kicked out from royal life. Can he really?
Prince Andrew – Told To Let It Go And Be Grateful “He’s Not In Jail”
Prince Andrew is back for round two and he’s reportedly amassing a war chest as costly as £10 million as he prepares to publicly deny ever meeting Virginia Giuffre… again.
Early last year, the Duke, 62, settled with Virginia Giuffre, who accused him of rape, out of court for a lot of money. At the time of the settlement, even though he never agreed to being a sex offender, he did say he’d stop calling the now 39-year-old Giuffre a liar.
According to reports, he’s preparing himself to call her a liar once again and prove it.
Perhaps what gave him the courage to push back on the accusations was the fact that long-time friend and disgraced socialite Ghislaine Maxwell recently revealed that she has no “recollection” of Andrew and Giuffre meeting.
Well, if you can remember, Maxwell was also in the now-famous picture Giuffre produced as evidence to say that she did indeed meet Andrew. She shared the photograph after Andrew fantastically declared he never met her during a 2019 Newsnight interview.
Andrew’s legal team pushed back by saying that the picture was doctored, but high-profile forensic experts have examined the picture and they believe it to be real.
Prince Andrew – Reportedly Settled Due To Intense Pressure Not To Overshadow the Platinum Jubilee
Andrew now wants to get back to fighting it out with his accuser Virginia Giuffre, as sources claim he settled to avoid overshadowing the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
According to a royal source speaking to The Sun, “He [Andrew] was pressured into settling the case to avoid overshadowing the Platinum Jubilee and has paid a heavy price, personally and professionally.”
The source added: “The King is happy for him to pursue this. As Head of State, he can’t back him publicly, but Andrew is still his brother and he wants the best for him.”
But per a report by the Mirror, top US lawyers have dismissed his bid to overturn the case, saying he should be “grateful that he is not in jail.
