Prince Andrew To Return To Public Life In Shocking Appearance

After conveniently being forced to miss Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee in which he was to take a very small role due to a COVID-18 diagnosis, Prince Andrew seems to be well recovered and back in action as he will attend a major royal event on Monday.

Prince Andrew Back In The Fold?

Despite his Jubilee absence and all the scandal he has caused the royal family over the past year, Andrew is set to walk in the procession to Windsor Castle for the annual Order of the Garter on June 13. This will be the first major public appearance the Duke of York has made since the memorial for his father, Prince Philip, honoring the one-year anniversary of his death in March. At the time, it was quite noticeable when Andrew made himself the topic of gossip as he walked his mother to her seat.

Although it’s not certain whether Queen Elizabeth will be at the Order of the Garter due to her recent health and mobility issues, her son being there in a prominent role is a very big deal considering his recent legal troubles. At the service, Camilla Parker Bowles, who will become Queen Consort when Prince Charles becomes king, is set to be named Royal Lady of the order.

Prince Andrew Has Caused Trouble

Prince Andrew brought quite a few headlines for the royal family both in Great Britain and beyond when he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman named Virginia Giuffre when she was just 17 years old at a party thrown by late accused sex offender Jeffrey Epstein at one of this United States homes. Giuffre, now a grown woman, sued Prince Andrew in an American court last year, but the case was eventually settled out of court. Andrew was set to make a large payment to charities that support victims’ rights.

Amidst the scandal, Queen Elizabeth II stripped her second son of his military titles, his patronages, and much of his royal duties. If you believe the Netflix series The Crown, Andrew is also said to be the queen’s favorite child.

Prince Charles had reportedly told his brother to lay low as he came and went from Windsor Castle, ostensibly to spend time with his mother. Whether the Order of the Garter appearance is meant to be the first of many future royal appearances for the embattled duke remains to be seen, but this is certainly a change in attitude from even a few weeks ago from The Firm.
