Prince Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles, and the rest of the royal family might be feeling distressed over Meghan Markle’s latest claims that the royal institution failed to protect her during her pregnancy with Archie Harrison in 2019.

The claims were made in court documents in Meghan’s ongoing battle with the British tabloid press and her father, Thomas Markle Sr. While the royal family has no involvement in the case, it’s been hinted that Charles, Camilla and the rest of the firm will be none too pleased with Meghan’s assertion that they did very little to help her during what she called a very vulnerable time in her life. The Daily Mail royal editor Russell Myers hints that Meghan’s latest revelations won’t sit too well with the rest of the royal family. In fact, they might be feeling rather distressed behind the scenes over her claims, now that the public has been made aware of it.

The royal expert puts it this way, “They’re all also disturbing readings for the royal family. They will be really, really distressed.”

He also said that Queen Elizabeth herself made a point to make Meghan Markle feel as though she was part of the royal family, especially in the public statement she made following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s decision to step down from their roles as full-time working members of the royal family.

Myers explains, “The queen mentions family, how they took Meghan into their heart of the family, how she was so impressed with her. And certainly, these claims that she felt unprotected, especially when pregnant, will be very, very distressing to hear for the Queen, Philip, Charles, Kate, and William.”

If in-laws Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles are feeling distressed behind the scenes over Meghan Markle’s latest claims, they haven’t said anything about it, nor did they make any comments about Harry and Meghan’s decision to pack their bags and leave the royal family behind for a better life for themselves in Los Angeles. There has also been no indication of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle planning to return to London anytime soon.
