According to a Royal insider quoted by British tabloids, Prince Harry is always welcome to come back to his place within the British Royal Family. By now, everyone knows that Prince Harry and his American wife, Meghan Markle left the U.K. under strained circumstances. Neither Queen Elizabeth nor the British masses looked kindly upon Prince Harry’s shock announcement that he and his American wife, Meghan Markle, would be stepping down from their roles as senior members of The Firm.
Nevertheless, Prince Harry and Meghan took their little son, Prince Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, a couple of their dogs, and they set out for Vancouver Island in Canada. Not long after, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left Canada for California where they now live in a palatial estate owned by movie mogul, Tyler Perry. According to some, Meghan has made it quite clear that the intent is for their family to live in the Los Angeles area for the long-term. Yet, Prince Charles apparently holds out some hope for his son’s return.
Prince Charles And Harry’s Relationship Still Strong
Despite the fact that Prince Harry was clearly not happy with his role at Buckingham Palace, and in spite of the fact that he and Meghan evidently don’t have any desire to head back across the pond, Royal informants suggest that Prince Charles has refused to hold any of this against his son. Indeed, in an interview with a British tabloid, one insider said of Prince Harry and Prince Charles that, “They have a very strong and close father-and-son relationship … the Prince of Wales has made it clear the door is always open.”
Indeed, that insider continued, noting that, “Since his (Prince Harry’s) move to Los Angeles, they have been in regular contact. Charles is not an avid user of texts but there are video and phone calls … He has provided financial support, as any father would do when their son moves with a young family to the other side of the world.”
Prince Charles May Identify With Prince Harry A Bit
For those who have been watching the drama that is the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, it’s been clear for a long time that Prince Harry suffers from anxiety and dissatisfaction with his status as a “second son.” While Prince Charles might not be able to identify wholly with the psychology of being a royal “second son,” he may identify with not “fitting in” entirely.
In fact, the same source noted above suggested that “Charles knows what it is like to be conflicted within the royal household.” By that, the source may have been referencing the fact that Prince Charles had expectations placed upon him in terms of who he should or should not marry … and of course … everyone knows how that story played itself out.

In the end, Prince Charles chose to marry for love and not for the sake of tradition or appearance. Many believe this is why he might identify with Prince Harry’s choice of life partner in Meghan Markle.
