Prince Charles Launches Perfume Inspired By 40 Years Of Memory

Prince Charles Launches Perfume Inspired By 40 Years Of MemoryPrince Charles is launching a new perfume, and guess what? It’s inspired by his love for gardening. For over 40 years, the Duke of Cornwall has lovingly developed his garden at Highgrove House, which is located at his private residence in Gloucestershire, England. Now, with the new perfume, Highgrove Bouquet, you can feel the pure magical scent that’ll make you want to go outside and enjoy the green world out there.

Prince Charles Bottles Up Summer Experience At Highgrove House

The 73-year-old Prince of Wales has had a passion for gardening since he was a young child. In fact, he is one of the few people who still genuinely fights for organic farming practices.

“Highgrove Bouquet is a new scent inspired by and created with HRH The Prince of Wales, in part, a tribute to the magnificently fragrant summers at Highgrove Gardens,” the gardens’ website said of the perfume.

“It is a time when the odour of blossoming weeping silver lime fills the air, and Highgrove Gardens is full of its branches, with their blooming, uplifting, floral notes,” they continue. “A crisp, confident burst of warm energy opens the dance with vibrant lavender and geranium. As floral, powdery notes appear, a shroud of delicate yellow blossoms seem to fill the air, and to the mimosa, tuberose brings longevity and depth, a solar storm of rich delight. The restful, soothing base is a blend of elegance and sophistication from cedar woods and Orris.”

The perfume has distinguishable hints of weeping lime, tuberose, cedar wood, orris fusion and musks, with top notes of geranium, lavender and hyacinth.

Proceeds From The Perfume Will Support Prince Charles’ Charity

A bottle of Highgrove Bouquet costs $180, with 10% of the proceeds going to the Prince’s Foundation, which aims to provide people of all ages with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed. They train people from all backgrounds and workmanship, from traditional arts and crafts, to science, engineering, horticulture, architecture and design, hospitality and so many others.

Over he years, Charles has opened up about his love for gardening several times, most notably when he told host Armitage, on the BBC radio show The Poet Laureate Has Gone to His Shed, that he shares a deep love of gardening with his younger sister Anne from when they were very young. “My sister and I had a little vegetable patch in the back of some border somewhere,” he told Simon. “We had great fun trying to grow tomatoes rather unsuccessfully and things like that.”
