Prince Edward And Sophie Wessex Continue To Give NHS Frontline Workers A Helping Hand
According to the Daily Mail, Edward and Sophie are fast become the new royal power couple as they have been volunteering for a variety of causes throughout the pandemic and in a very low key way, too. The Countess and her husband joined volunteers to help out at the SaluteTheNHS initiative. This comes after she was spotted ironing children’s clothes at a consignment shop just last week.
Sophie and Edward wore high-visibility jackets at the campaign’s warehouse, where they spent the day packing food parcels into boxes along with many other volunteers. The Royal Family shared a photo on Twitter and captioned it with, “The Earl and Countess of Wessex joined volunteers @SaluteNHS today to prepare food packs for NHS frontline workers across the UK. The @SaluteNHS initiative is providing meals and care packages to support the work of ICU, A&E, and anesthetic teams across the UK.”
British Royal News: Is Sophie Wessex The Most Hands-On Royal?
While Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles along with Prince William and Kate Middleton have also been stepping out and making public appearances again since the coronavirus lockdown, royal observers have noticed that they haven’t been as hands-on as Sophie and Prince Edward. Many of Sophie’s fans commented on the Twitter post with, “Another engagement for HRH The Countess of Wessex!
She has been consistently brilliant over the last 5 months supporting the NHS and her charities. Love her! We’re so lucky to have her!” along with, “Sophie has been absolutely wonderful the last few weeks, even by her high standards.”
