While this is Prince George’s third year at the school, this will be the first one for Princess Charlotte. Seeing how he’s already done the drop off and pick up routine many times over, Prince George didn’t look very enthusiastic about returning to school.
Princess Charlotte might have looked a little nervous, according to some royal observers. Even though she made an effort to wave at the nearby photographers in the press pool, she also kept pulling at her pony tail.
Prince George And Princess Charlotte Dressed In Their School Uniforms
Both royals were dressed in their school uniforms. They have their parents carry their school bags for them before they were greeted by the school’s team of administrators. It was also a very emotional day for Kate Middleton. That’s because she was forced to miss the first day of school for Prince George back in 2017.
She was then pregnant with Prince Louis and was exceptionally sick during her first trimester. Prince William had no choice but to take Prince George to school on his own. That’s why this first day of school is exceptionally special for Kate, as she gets to accompany not only her son George but her daughter Charlotte, too.
Thomas’s Battersea School A Great Choice For The Cambridge Children
Following the confirmation of Charlotte’s school of choice back in May, headmaster Simon O’Malley said: “We are delighted that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have decided that Princess Charlotte will join her elder brother, Prince George, at Thomas’s Battersea. We greatly look forward to welcoming her and all of our new pupils to the school in September.”
