British royal family news reveals that Prince Harry’s legal battle against the publishers of The Sun just got a lot messier.
Today Prince Harry was accused of deleting crucial emails between him and his memoir ghost writer J. R. Moehringer. According to Entertainment Tonight, Harry is taking heat for “reportedly destroying correspondence” between himself and his ghostwriter.
The defense’s legal team tabloid’s legal team claims that Harry “deliberately” deleted potential evidence in his lawsuit. Here’s to know about the explosive charges against Harry.
Royal Family News – Did Harry Deliberately Delete Emails?
News Group Newspapers, which publishes The Sun, attorney Anthony Hudson claimed that after gathering “Harry’s emails, text messages, and WhatsApp messages” with the ghost writer, they discovered that they were not given full access as promised.
Harry’s lawyer claimed that all communication was done through an app called Signal and that the “chat history was removed before the memoir was published to delete sensitive information.”
The reason for doing so was to keep Harry “secure” because if the information got out his safety would be compromised. Again with Harry’s safety.
Yet he traveled to Nigeria at the invitation of a government leader sought by the FBI for money laundering. This is the illogical world that Harry lives in.
Royal Family News – Harry’s Safety Always At Risk
Harry’s lawyer, David Sherborne, rebutted in court documents: “This is untrue. In fact, the claimant has already made clear that he has conducted extensive searches, going above and beyond his obligations.”
In response NGN’s lawyers claimed that Harry was “trying to create an obstacle course” and keep all available evidence from being disclosed.
Judge Timothy Fancourt has now decided that Harry must provide a witness statement and explain himself: “we don’t know what has happened. It’s not at all clear. […] The position is not transparently clear about what happened and needs to be made so by way of a witness statement from the claimant himself—what happened to the messages between himself and his ghostwriter and whether any attempts were made to retrieve them.”
Royal Family News – Can Harry Explain Himself?
The court case against NGN brought by Harry and several other claimants is due to be heard in January 2025. They claim they were “victims of unlawful information gathering.” Stay tuned royal fans to see how Harry tries to extricate himself from his latest alleged blunder.
