Harry And Meghan Already Left Blindsided By The Palace’s Latest Move

According to the BBC, King Charles released a statement that said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex won’t be taking on any royal engagements, nor will they be making any public appearances on his behalf.

King Charles’s statement reads as: “The charitable work of the Duke and Duchess is a personal matter for them both and undertaken in their private capacity. In short, their position is akin to private citizens with commercial and charitable interests.”

And while it seems like King Charles does have a better relationship with the Sussexes right now, Prince Harry especially can’t help but feel blindsided that the palace would release his father’s statement behind his back.

Then again, no one knows what Prince Harry and Meghan Markle really want to do during their time in the UK, but the royals are making it pretty clear that while they might be back on this side of the pond, they shouldn’t expect any grand homecoming celebrations in their honor.

What’s Next For Harry And Meghan?

Not only that, but Harry and Meghan are also being reminded that they were the ones who stepped down from their roles back in 2020 as they wanted to become financially independent royals.

Clearly, that didn’t work out for them and now that they are back, King Charles has set a hard boundary stating that things are not going to go back to the way things were before, regardless of what Harry and Meghan might be thinking about it.
