Prince Harry And Meghan Are Now Total “Wild Cards” Monarchy Cannot Control

AMP in the post

It is well-known that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from their royal duties as senior members of the British Royal Family. Ostensibly, this was so that Meghan and Prince Harry could live their lives on their own terms, have a sense of normalcy far from the limelight, and enjoy privacy away from the prying eyes of the public.

However, at the very same time, Prince Harry and Meghan wanted to have a foot inside the Monarchy and a foot out. Well, at least Prince Harry did. It doesn’t seem that Prince Harry wanted to remove all ties to the Windsor family. He didn’t want to be controlled, and most wouldn’t blame Prince Harry for that.

With that said, by following Meghan Markle to the hilt Prince Harry has distanced himself from his family perhaps more than he bargained for. Although he now has the financial freedom he claimed to crave due to the mega-millions deal he and Meghan made with Netflix, he also is now seen as a “free agent.” In other words, because Prince Harry isn’t carrying out Royal duties and is no longer receiving any money from the Sovereign Grant, etc. Buckingham Palace can’t rightly “tell him what to do.”

This is a scary situation for the British crown considering the fact that Prince Harry is something of a firebrand who speaks Meghan Markle’s mind like the sock puppet many believe him to be. In other words, it’s Harry who’s talking and being seen, but it’s Meghan’s thoughts and influence that are guiding him. And, everything that comes out of either the Duke or Duchess of Sussex’s mouth continues to reflect on the Monarchy as long as the two still hold titles.

Prince Harry Leaves Monarchy Paranoid

In an article for Town and Country Magazine, Royal expert Victoria Murphy wrote, “You could say it is the monarchy who is left looking over its shoulder. Family members will be hoping that Harry and Meghan stick to the pledge that they made to ‘continue to uphold the values of Her Majesty’ in ‘everything they do’.”

Ms. Murphy continued, writing that, “Because, while they have no way of controlling the Sussexes, the actions of this couple will inevitably still reflect on the institution. Harry and Meghan may no longer have to engage with or answer to their critics.”

Of course, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have said repeatedly that they will continue to uphold the principles espoused by the British monarchy. By and large, Harry and Meghan seem to have kept to that promise except for the many times they’ve become political in their speech of late. Remaining non-partisan as is Royal Family tradition seems to be something Meghan Markle (especially) finds hard to adhere to.

Outside of that, however, Harry and Meghan don’t appear to have done anything that could remarkably shame The Firm.

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Remain Privileged

The truth is that Buckingham Palace has little to fear from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The couple lived like ultra-privileged pleasure-seekers before Megxit with the full blessing of the Crown, and Harry and Meghan continued that uber affluent lifestyle after Megxit because the Monarchy acted as fully aware enablers.

Now that financial ties have been cut, what does anyone expect to happen when it comes to the relationship between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and the Windsors back in the UK? Not much is likely to change in Prince Harry and Meghan’s behavior.

They were wealthy and received preferential treatment through no merit of their own before … they’ll continue to take advantage of current titles now … and if those titles are taken away, Just Harry and Meghan will find a way to leverage that for publicity too.
