Are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle finally getting the message? They are human after all and no doubt have heard all of the clap back about their conduct, words, and entitled attitudes. But did they just do something remarkable that shows they are trying to get along?
About this, a royal source told Sunday People that the pair are, “trying to build bridges with the Queen,” after being roundly criticized for seeming to call her out during a talk with Commonwealth youth leaders.
Are Harry and Meghan feeling remorseful about their past behavior toward his family?
Last month Harry said in a video conference that the Commonwealth’s past, “must be acknowledged,” even if it’s “uncomfortable.” He didn’t say it at the time but everyone in the room knew his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth is the head of the Commonwealth.
He was criticized for throwing his grandma under the bus, but this week both he and Meghan went out of their way to give the queen a shout out, this time a positive one. The occasion was a second video call with the Commonwealth youth leaders.
For starters, they stated that it was an “honor” to be continuing the queen’s legacy and that Her Majesty had succeeded in her goals with the Commonwealth.
It’s a start—Rome wasn’t built in a day. It sounds like Harry and Meghan are trying to make amends and they should be given credit for their efforts.
Have Harry and Meghan seen the error of their ways in regard to their treatment of his family?
According to an insider, Harry and Meghan have indeed had an epiphany in regard to his family.
They said, “It feels like Harry and Meghan are finally trying to build bridges.”
During the latest video call, the couple put aside the snide rhetoric and praised the Commonwealth, something they would not do unless they meant it, right?. Meghan said she felt, “incredible pride,” at being able to work with the Commonwealth youth group and as an aside to Harry she said the group represents, “the continuation of the legacy of your grandmother.”
She also took a big step toward humility when she acknowledged that she, “didn’t know” about the Commonwealth until she joined the Royal Family.
It says a lot that the couple recognized the Queen in a positive light and fessed up to what they didn’t know. Based on their latest public talk, is it time to give them the benefit of the doubt and recognize their honest efforts toward reconciliation?
