However, after they were loudly booed at the church service, they managed to keep out of the public eye until they were back in Montecito, California.
The Duke And Duchess Of Sussex Jetted Back to the U.S. Before Jubilee Pageant Began
After the pair were publicly shamed by the public on Friday, they kept a pretty low profile for the rest of the four-day Jubilee, even skipping the Platinum Party at the Palace, which was attended by several members of the Royal Family.
On Sunday, it emerged that the pair has flown back to the U.S. on a private jet. They were driven from Frogmore Cottage, Windsor, around lunchtime.
According to Daily Mail, the couple and their kids flew out of Farnborough Airport, west of London, at 1:30p.m. Sunday, an hour before the Jubilee pageant kicked off in central London.
This means that they would be flying across the Atlantic when the pageant was rounding up and the Queen, Prince Charles, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their three children, were waving to the crowd.
According to an insider, Harry and Meghan weren’t looking forward to celebrating the pageant, which was made to sure the great cultural changes that occurred during the Queen’s 70-year reign.
“There was no fanfare, they just went. They didn’t stick around for the Platinum Jubilee pageant which is a celebration of Britain and all of its quirks and eccentricities over the Queen’s 70 year reign.”
Did The Royal Family Spend Quality Time
It’s not known whether the Sussexes and the Cambridges had time to mingle and chat, but if such chats took place, it would be limited as the Cambridges were the main players during the Jubilee.
