So much for trying to stay under the radar. Soon after photos of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle vacationing in St. Vincent and the Grenadines began circulating on the internet, many critics began calling out the royal couple.

And it’s not because they can’t take a vacation, it’s because they did so thousands of miles away from home.

For two people who are very eco-conscious, a lot of people are slamming them for being eco-hypocrites, especially when it comes to their carbon footprint. Here’s what you need to know.

Harry and Meghan were spotted alone on the island of Canouan in St Vincent and the Grenadines, which is home to many marinas and superyachts. Some people would even say that it’s where the billionaires get away from the millionaires.

Yet some critics are calling out Harry and Meghan for even traveling to the island, seeing how they had to clock in thousands of miles in order to do so. 

GB News’ Nana Akua, who often has one thing or another to say about Harry and Meghan, said that it’s going to be hard to take Harry and Meghan seriously as environmentalists, especially when they don’t follow what they preach.

Royal Family News – What’s Next For Harry And Meghan?

Akua put it this way, “To be honest, I’m actually quite happy to see them holding hands, looking happy and not whingeing. I’m fed up of listening to their whingeing. So finally they’re holding hands. They look like they want to be around each other. That’s great.”

She then added, “It just keeps coming back to me that the moment I decided that I’d had enough of the pair was when Megan and Harry were banging on about climate change and explaining how they’re going to offset their carbon. And we all know that carbon offsetting is sort of a bit of a scam, really. It’s not real and we know that.”

In the past, Harry went on the record to say that climate change was “wreaking havoc on our planet, with the most vulnerable suffering most of all.”
