According to new reports, Harry and Meghan are now officially the “Sussexes.” They’ve even changed their last names and their children’s last names to reflect this.
Instead of being called the Mountbatten-Windsors, Prince Archie is now Prince Archie Sussex and his sister Princess Lilibet is Princess Lilibet Sussex. This is the first time that both children are being referred to as Sussexes.
One source close to the situation even said, “The reality behind the new site is very simple — it’s a hub for the work the Sussexes do and it reflects the fact the family have, since the King’s coronation, the same surname for the first time. That’s a big deal for any family. It represents their unification and it’s a proud moment.”

Now, as far as why the couple have decided to go full-on Sussex and have even adapted the new website Sussex.com, there seems to be a reason behind it.
The insider added, “It is just an umbrella for good causes like [Harry’s organizations] Sentebale, Invictus and Travelyst and separates them out from the non-profit Archewell foundation and Archewell Productions, which is a profit-for-good company. There’s no use of the word ‘royal’ on the site for a good reason — to ensure there could be no conflict with anyone’s wishes.”
So far Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made no additional comments about the matter although at this point it’s doubtful that they will. Still, a lot of fans can’t help but wonder why they are suddenly tying their royal titles so close to their personal and professional lives.
