For example, during a speech to the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, Prince Harry said: “It’s only when you look across the Commonwealth, there is no way that we can move forward unless we acknowledge the past. I think so many people have done such an amazing and incredible job of acknowledging the past and trying to right those wrongs. But I think we can all acknowledge here that there is so much more still to do.”
Yes, yes Harry and as British presenter Carol Malone rightly noted, as you blather on ad nauseum on the subject of unconscious racial bias, it’s all a bit much.
Many feel that’s especially true when one considers that Prince Harry is lecturing entire nations “from the luxury of his £18million, 24,000 square-foot home in LA – a house loaned to him and Meghan courtesy of the ‘privilege’ of their friendship with Oprah Winfrey ….”
Additionally, hasn’t anyone noticed that Prince Harry seems to scold and reprimand the masses on issues like climate change? Of course, this all while Harry was flying all over the planet in private jets!
The bottom line is that there is truth to the saying that one catches more flies with honey than with vinegar, and if Harry and Meghan truly believe the things they’re preaching, then perhaps they could actually lead more by example.
Maybe Meghan and Harry could start by at least appearing to be more humble and less arrogant in their appeal for change. Maybe the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could start by changing themselves. Maybe Meghan could start wearing dresses that cost in the neighborhood of $600 instead of $75,000. Maybe Meghan could wear the same thing more than once. Maybe Prince Harry could move his little family out of Tyler Perry’s mansion and into something a heck of a lot more modest.
Maybe Prince Harry and Meghan could stop mooching off of Prince Charles and the Duchy of Cornwall. Maybe Meghan could go back to work as an actress and perhaps Harry could get off his high horse, renounce his titles, and apply for a Green Card … that is if he is actually serious about making the United States of America his home long-term.
None of those things is likely to happen though because Prince Harry really was born in the lap of luxury and doesn’t know up from down or left from right. Meghan Markle meanwhile just discovered that it’s not merit that gets you where you want to go in life … it’s who you know, and she’s taken full advantage of that as everyone can see.
If Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want to express their own opinions on political issues, that’s fine. However, when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex behave as if they’re morally superior to all the “unwashed masses,” well … it’s a fair bet that both Harry and Meghan have a much-exaggerated sense of self-importance.
Totally agree. Have they heard the saying, ‘be the example you want to see in the world?’
Harry needs to grow a set and compromise on decisions not follow Meghan around like a puppy on a leash. After all the Queen has custody of Archie!
