After stepping away from the royal family, Harry and Meghan had trouble finding their footing. To top this all off, King Charles had allegedly cut Harry off financially, and as the 39-year-old claimed, wasn’t picking his calls.
So off to Canada they went, with a lot of anger and resentment. They still had millions of dollars to shelter in but still.
Luckily for them, the buzz created by their exit made media giants interested in whatever it is they were willing to offer, and if they threw in some juicy royal details along the way, the better.

Before long, Harry and Meghan purchased a $14 million home in Montecito, willing and ready to burn the Royal Family.
I mean, Harry wrote a controversial memoir where he called his brother his arch-nemesis, with the promise that the stories he told there were not as juicy as the ones he held back. The burn doesn’t get hotter than that, I’m afraid.
However, PR commentator Andy Barr believes that better communications could have made things a lot better for everyone. I don’t know, Harry and Meghan seemed to enjoy building their brand on the backs of the Royal Family.
Andy Barr Claims Direct Communications Could Have “Removed The Tinge of Sadness”

Harry has made it clear that leaving the Royal Family was the only way to protect his family. So if he must leave, could his exit have been “less controversial” if both parties put in the work?
Andy Barr thinks so. Talking to the Mirror, Barr said that “better communication would have made the move less controversial and removed the tinge of sadness that many across the globe now feel.”
He explained: “Airing your family grievances via a globally best-selling book and a ground-breaking documentary was never going to resonate well with the Royal Family let alone their team of advisors. The real power play here was between the armies of communications and brand advisors that both sides employ.”
Barr believes that if both sides had been clear with each other, things could have progressed a lot smoother than it did. “If the Royal Family and Harry had been more stern in their ruling that neither side should brief negative messages about each other to the press then much of the discussion could have been done behind closed doors, directly and with more dignity.”
