Find out about the warning that Netflix execs gave to the Duchess and Duke of Sussex. And learn how much they could make if they overcome the odds. Get all the details below.

Netflix Gives Ultimatum To Meghan Markle And Prince Harry

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry need to produce riveting content if they want to reap the full rewards of their contract with Netflix, according to a new report via TMZ.

And if the Duchess and Duke of Sussex fail? Then they need to prepare for losing millions. But thus far, the royal duo hasn’t come through with any stellar content pitches.

And an insider spilled on what Netflix execs told Meghan and Harry. The Sussex spouses must produce “better, must-see content,” according to the new report. And if they fail, they will not get the rest of their contract money. That amount totals more than $100 million. Thus far, Meghan and Harry have received about half of the promised money.

But the ultimatum seems clear. Meghan and Harry need to come through with films, shows, and/or documentaries that would attract viewers. And if they fail to meet those conditions, Netflix will end their deal. However, an insider did offer some hope for the Sussex clan. And the source shared that the streaming service felt satisfied with the documentary. But the content produced after that has disappointed execs.

Netflix Rejects Meghan Markle’s Animated Series

As an example of why Netflix might drop Meghan and Harry, the report points to Markle’s animated series pitch. Her concept involved a show about historical women inspiring a young girl. However, Netflix didn’t feel the idea seemed compelling. As a result of such rejections, Meghan and Harry risk losing out on their contract with the streaming service.

Prince Harry’s upcoming Invictus series will debut in August. However, that content came after the bombshell documentary. And Netflix reportedly felt disappointed in everything that followed the documentary, which seemingly includes the Invictus series. But no one seems to know if Meghan and Harry received a timeline to produce higher quality content.

However, given Spotify recently dumping them, the Duchess and Duke of Sussex don’t have a great track record for coming through with their side of contracts. But Netflix reportedly will not release Meghan and Harry from their contract in a way that would result in bad publicity. Meanwhile, it seems as if the two need to hire themselves a better creative team or hustle for content themselves.
