Harry, looking like a happy but tired new father, held the couple’s baby in his arms with Meghan right beside him. Many fans noticed that both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex couldn’t help but giggle and look at each other during the photo call, which took place at St. George’s Hall. Meghan even declared, “I have the two best guys in the world so I’m really happy. He has the sweetest temperament, he’s really calm.”
And while the world finally got their first glimpse of the newest member of the royal family, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did admit that they still don’t have a name for the little tot. Asked who Baby Sussex takes after, both Harry and Meghan were stumped. Harry then said, “Everyone says that babies change so much over two weeks we’re basically monitoring how the changing process happens over this next month really. But his looks are changing every single day, so who knows.”
When asked how he is doing in his new role as a parent, Prince Harry also added, “It’s great. Parenting is amazing. It’s only been two and a half days, three days, but we’re just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy.”
The couple also added that they plan on spending the next few weeks spending as much time as possible with the newborn while he “slowly, slowly starts to grow up.” Previous reports have said that Meghan plans on taking a three-month maternity leave.
Meghan also said that she looks forward to introducing Queen Elizabeth to her newest grandson. She said, “We just bumped into the duke as we were walking by which was so nice. So it’ll be a nice moment to introduce the baby to more family and my mum’s with us as well. Thank you everybody for all the well wishes and kindness, it just means so much.”
