Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Heading Into Full Blown Rebellion Against the Crown?

Be careful when you hear some fans of the British Royal family say, “Oh, it’s all right. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry aren’t doing anything wrong. Really.” It’s a slippery slope, you see, because Harry and Meghan may not intentionally be doing anything wrong, but they’ve already gone down the path of minor rebellion, haven’t they?

Well, goodness gracious. What’s this all Meghan and Harry and rebellion against the Crown then? The answer is best given through a question. “Will the Sussex Royal website remain active into the month of June?” Now, some fans of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may roll their eyes at this, but in order to abandon their royal duties altogether, leave Great Britain, and become financially independent in America (which many view as a rebellious act in and of itself), Harry and Meghan agreed to give up using their Royal titles and branding.

That said, they haven’t inactivated the Sussex Royal website. In other words, Meghan and Prince Harry could be in breach of the agreement they made with Harry’s grandmother, the Queen of England! That may sounds like fun and games to some, but it’s actually quite serious, for Harry especially, to defy Queen Elizabeth in such a blatant fashion.

First, it’s disrespectful in the extreme for Harry to ignore a promise he made to his own family. Secondly, what kind of example is Harry setting for his own son if he pretends the agreement he made with his grandmother isn’t important enough to keep? Of course, this could be a lot to do about nothing.

That the Sussex Royal website is still running could be chalked up to a mere oversight on the part of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. That’s because the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have kept the majority of their word to the Queen so far. In fact, Meghan and Harry have reportedly stopped trying to obtain trademarks that use the Royal title and they’ve chosen to ensure that their new charity, “Archewall” will not have the word “Royal” associated with it.

Some believe, however, that Prince Harry and Meghan were quite unhappy with the fact that they had to cease and desist from using the Royal titles altogether. While using it in Great Britain could be seen in bad taste, especially since Harry and Meghan chose to give up all duties associated with senior members of The Firm, apparently there are no legal requirements for them to give up the word elsewhere.

Harry & Meghan Markle – Royal Titles or No Royal Titles?

Even so, as part of their agreement with Buckingham Palace, Harry and Meghan can’t use the Royal title even outside the bounds of merry old England (or the Commonwealth nations).

Now, Prince Harry and Meghan are running out of time vis-à-vis their Sussex Royal website. Harry and Meghan Markle only were allowed to keep using it, etc. until their transition from senior royals to crass colonials ended. That transition was supposed to last until the end of Spring. Of course, summer begins in June.

Fans are waiting then to see if Meghan and Harry will compound their perceived disrespect to the British Royal family or whether they’ll keep their promises.

Bottom line for Harry and Meghan? Will they or won’t they continue to allow the Sussex Royal website to operate well into June?
