Meghan Markle – Loses HOW Much Without Royal Title?

One word: Millions. A new report via the New York Post reveals that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle face the risk of losing millions of dollars if their royal titles become removed.

And a Hollywood expert, Mark Boardman, explained the link between royal titles and the Duchess of Sussex and Duke of Sussex’s income.

The potential for Meghan and Harry to get stripped of their royal titles first rose when the Duchess of Sussex and Duke of Sussex quit their duties as senior working royals in 2020. But though the couple moved from the United Kingdom to California, they still held onto their Duchess and Duke titles.

However, increasingly, both the UK public and some politicians have called for King Charles to strip away Meghan’s and Harry’s royal titles.

But entertainment expert Mark Boardman believes that the Duchess of Sussex and Duke of Sussex could face a financial crisis without their titles.

Losing Sussex Titles Could Result in ‘Substantial’ Costs

And Boardman warned that he sees both long-term and short-term damage for Meghan and Harry if they lose their titles. “The potential costs of losing royal titles could be substantial, not only for the immediate financial impact but also the long-term effects on their earning potential,” revealed the Hollywood expert. 

For instance, Boardman noted that “financial penalties or contractual repercussions tied to their titles within existing contracts could amount to millions.” And if Meghan and Harry currently have “lucrative commercial deals,” those contracts could “affected to the tune of millions a year in lost income should the worst happen, and the Sussexes lose their royal titles.”

But the entertainment expert believes that beyond finances, Harry and Meghan would face a negative change in terms of how society views them. And Boardman warned of a significant impact for the prince and his wife.

Meghan Markle – Falls In Social Standing Without Title

“While some may view it positively as a move towards independence, others may see it negatively as a departure from tradition,” he cautioned. “Meghan Markle’s popularity in the US is more likely influenced by factors beyond royal titles, such as her individual achievements and personal qualities,” added Boardman.

However, losing her title of Duchess of Sussex could spark “royal family turmoil,” added the entertainment expert. And that” would make headlines leading to a decline in popularity which could take years to recover from.” 

Meanwhile, Meghan and Harry already lost the privilege of using HRH (His Royal Highness and Her Royal Highness) titles. But without the Duchess of Sussex and Duke of Sussex titles, can they afford to live in their upscale Montecito, Calif., mansion? Thus far, the titles have already landed them a six-part Netflix documentary and podcasts.
