Princess Eugenie And Husband Jack Brooksbank To Split Time Between Portugal And Frogmore Cottage
Jack Brooksbank has landed a new job with millionaire property tycoon Mike Meldman, a long-standing business partner of George Clooney, per the Telegraph. This means that Brooksbank and his family will be splitting their time between Portugal and Frogmore Cottage.
This is coming after it was revealed that the Sussexes have opted to renew their lease on Frogmore Cottage. A royal expert said holding onto the lease implies that Harry and Meghan still have plans of visiting or even staying in the U.K.
The Brooksbanks have been subletting Frogmore from the Sussexes but will be spending part of the year at the CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club moving forward. The luxury resort is located an hour south of Lisbon on Portugal’s picturesque Atlantic coast.
Eugenie’s husband had previously worked for the tequila brand Casamigos, which Clooney helped fund. In 2017, it was sold to Diageo for £550 million. He is now working for Mr. Meldman’s Discovery Land Company, which has been developing Costa Terra since 2019.
A source close to the couple said: “Jack is now working for Mike Meldman and they are splitting their time between Portugal and London.”
The Hollywood actor and his human rights lawyer wife Amal are reportedly planning to buy a plot on the 300-home, 722-acre development. This will make them neighbors with the Clooneys and their four-year-old twins Ella and Alexander.
Eugenie, 32, is expected to continue working as a director for the London art gallery Hauser & Wirth on a hybrid basis, while the couple continue to stay at Frogmore with their one-year-old son August.
The news is coming after the Brooksbanks temporarily vacated Frogmore to enable the Sussexes to comfortably move in ahead of the Jubilee.
