Vancouver Island Christmas
Harry, Meghan, and Archie are spending the baby boy’s first Christmas on Vancouver Island. It is where Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland is located. They opted to not spend the holidays with the Royal Family. Although it has caused rumors to circulate, Meghan’s mother has just as much of a right to spend time with her family as the Royals do.
Prince Harry’s Family Outing
While on Vancouver Island, Harry has been seen multiple times hiking on North Hill. The whole family is breathing fresh air and really enjoying their time away from the Royal spotlight. Although news outlets now know their location, they don’t have to deal with paparazzi as much as they do in the United Kingdom.
Royals News: Family Turned Away
It is reported by the Vancouver Sun that Harry and Meghan tried to eat at a swanky restaurant in the area. However, they were turned away. Before jumping to conclusions, it isn’t because of anything personal. In fact, the restaurant responded to the reports explaining exactly why the Royal couple couldn’t be seated.
Deep Cove Chalet Responds
Owner Bev Koffel said that she met with the Royal security team last week. However, her husband and chef Pierre Koffel elected to turn down their request to eat at Deep Cove Chalet. It wasn’t due to any personal feelings, it was just how tight security would be involved. She added, “Let them have their peace and quiet. For us to be so lucky to have them in the area, how lucky is that? I wish them all the privacy they can possibly get. They deserve it.”
She also explained that the area has become quite popular and she wishes Prince Harry and Meghan Markle the very best.
