Many royal critics have been slamming Harry and Meghan for their tone-deaf announcement, seeing how the entire world is on lockdown right now in the hopes that everyone can do their part to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus. As of press time, over 1.4 million people in 150 countries have tested positive for the coronavirus, with a death toll of 82,000. That number is expected to grow in the coming weeks. In the U.S., over 400,000 people have been infected, with a total number of 12,856 deaths. In the U.K., there are 55,000 deaths and a little over 6,000 cases.
And while millions of people are glued to the new for the most recent updates about the battle against the coronavirus, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle seem to be running full steam ahead with their new nonprofit organization, Archewell. Royal biographer Phil Dampier even told the Daily mail that the couple’s announcement was “a terrible PR move.”

“It was the worst possible timing. If I were Harry and Meghan I would have laid low until this situation (coronavirus) was over,” Dampier said. “People everywhere are really concerned with dealing with this and it does not look good, however good the cause is.”
