For example, an insider recently claimed that Meghan is having a particularly difficult time adjusting to Britain because of her experiences the last time she and Harry lived there.
Now, we’re hearing that Meghan is already feeling “homesick,” even as she and Harry reportedly spend more time apart in the UK than they did when they lived in the US.
Key Takeaways

- Close friends are reportedly helping Meghan through the transition
- Prince Harry is said to be reconnecting with old friends in the UK
- Insiders question whether the couple’s British stay will last
Meghan Markle Reportedly Struggling To Adjust To UK Life
Meghan is reportedly not taking to the UK like a fish takes to water, and there are a number of reasons why.
According to an unnamed source quoted by Star, Meghan is doing her best to stay positive for Harry, but she is already missing her old life in California.
The insider claimed that Harry has been encouraging his wife to remain patient and give their new living arrangements a chance.
However, even enjoying traditional British pub lunches reportedly hasn’t been enough to ease Meghan’s homesickness.
After living in California for six years, leaving behind the Montecito lifestyle and familiar surroundings is said to have been a difficult adjustment for the Duchess of Sussex.
As previously reported, Harry and Meghan have reportedly considered spending more time back in California as they adjust to their new arrangements in Britain.
Meghan Markle Misses Her California Lifestyle And Friends
According to the insider, Meghan particularly misses her Montecito property, trips to the beach, and the close friends she regularly spent time with in California.
The source also claimed that Meghan was grateful when her close friend Kelly Zajfen visited with her husband and children to help make the transition easier.
Unfortunately, even a visit from a close friend can’t replace the familiar routines and support network Meghan enjoyed in California.
And while the Duchess reportedly has friends in Britain, the insider suggested that her difficulties go beyond simply feeling lonely.
Readers may recall that Meghan Markle’s decision to return to the UK previously sparked speculation about whether she was entirely comfortable with the move.
Of course, those reports remain speculation, and Meghan herself has not publicly confirmed that she regrets returning to Britain.
Moving To The UK Called Meghan Markle’s Biggest Challenge
While Meghan is said to be trying her very best to make the most of her new living situation, the insider believes there is a lot about the UK that doesn’t fit her preferred lifestyle.
According to the source, Meghan is reportedly struggling with what she perceives as Britain’s more traditional atmosphere and slower pace of life.
The insider described the adjustment as one of the biggest challenges Meghan has faced in recent years.
Harry, meanwhile, is reportedly trying to rekindle his old friendships in the UK, which may be eating into the couple’s time together.
Interestingly, other reports have suggested Meghan herself supported the decision to return to Britain, making the conflicting accounts about her feelings even more intriguing.
Harry has publicly spoken positively about the family’s return and said their children are enjoying school in Britain.
For now, it remains unclear whether Meghan is genuinely unhappy with the move or whether the latest reports are simply another round of speculation surrounding the Sussexes.
Annemarie’s Take
Well, I can certainly understand Meghan missing California. After six years of sunshine, beaches, and the Montecito lifestyle, returning to the British weather would be quite an adjustment! LOL!
But here’s what I find interesting. We keep hearing conflicting stories about who wanted this move in the first place. Was Harry desperate to return home, or was Meghan the one encouraging him? At this point, it seems like every insider has a different version!
Personally, I think the most important thing is whether Archie and Lilibet are happy and settled. Harry has said they’re enjoying school, which is encouraging.
As for Meghan, I wouldn’t be surprised if she misses California, but that doesn’t necessarily mean she’s ready to pack her bags and leave Britain behind. We’ll have to see how this new chapter plays out!
Do you think Meghan Markle will eventually settle into life in Britain, or will she convince Prince Harry to return to California?
