British Royal News says that there might be a good reason why fans are seeing more of the Cambridge kids these days. In fact, there’s a report that suggests Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to ‘Megxit’ from the royal family has accelerated Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis into the royal spotlight. Apparently, there’s a need for more senior royals in the mix but because there’s so few right now, Prince William and Kate Middleton have made the decision to put their three young children in the limelight. At least, that’s what royal author and expert Katie Nicholl believes. Ever since Harry and Meghan left the royal family, the Cambridge kids have been more visible at public engagements. As many fans know, George, Charlotte and Louis were all front and center during Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations earlier this summer.

Nicholl put it this way, “I think two key events saw the Cambridges and their children take on center stage roles. These were Megxit and the pandemic.”

She also said, “We have seen more of the Cambridge children in recent years than ever, something which was always going to happen, but which was accelerated by Harry and Meghan leaving Britain, which meant there was a chasm for William and Kate to fill.”

British Royal News: What’s Next For Harry and Meghan?

Nicholl also said that William and Kate have used the pandemic to their advantage, or at least in a public relations sense. By taking their children to royal engagements with them, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are filling the void that Harry and Meghan left behind. She added: “They can take the lead, and it’s a role they have embraced. They have turned the situation into an opportunity. Kate particularly seems to have come into her own.”

So far Prince William and Kate Middleton haven’t made any comments about the matter.
