British royal family news reveals a possible motive for Harry and Meghan the Duke and Duchess of Sussex dropping their vile Megxit bomb in 2020. Apparently the thirsty pair wanted a, “suite of apartments at Windsor Castle,” all to their own. Instead they were gifted beautiful Frogmore Cottage and then promptly looked the gift horse in the mouth according to a bombshell book.
Katie Nicholl’s book, The New Royals, claims that the royal runaways wanted to ensconce themselves in the Queen’s Berkshire residence but were vetoed.
Royal Family News – Harry and Meghan Retaliated?
An extract published in the Mail On Sunday noted, “When Harry and Meghan announced their wish to move out of Kensington Palace, the
Queen offered them Frogmore Cottage in Windsor Great Park as their new home.”
Lady Elizabeth Anson, said, ‘“The cottage was a big deal. The Queen’s entrance into the gardens is right next to their cottage. It is essentially her back yard, her solitude, and her privacy. She was giving that up in gifting Harry and Meghan Frogmore Cottage. We all thought it was very big of her. She said, “I hope they’ll respect it.”‘ If hopes and wishes were horses, beggars would ride.
Meghan And Harry Not Happy
Sadly, we all know the next chapter in this story. But before we go there, let’s take a minute to consider how many of us are gifted a new home just for getting married. Not very many. And the fact that the Markle’s were ungrateful for a free home blows the mind.
According to the book, “In April 2019, the couple finally moved in. Then, the following month, Buckingham Palace announced a still more significant departure: Harry and Meghan were moving their Royal Household – effectively their office – from Kensington Palace to Buckingham Palace.”
Nicholl notes this was, “deeply disappointing,” for the Queen.

Royal Family News – Meghan Disappointed The Queen
The late Queen was also surprised that Meghan wore a snow white dress for her second wedding. According to the book, “[Prince Harry and
Meghan Markle’s] wedding day was a great success, although the Queen had reservations about the pure white of Meghan’s Givenchy dress, designed by Clare Waight Keller … The Queen was surprised that Meghan wore pure white on her wedding day. Perhaps it’s a generational thing, but she believes if you’ve been married before, you wear off-white on your wedding day, which is what the Duchess of Cornwall did.”
But true to form the revered monarch did not complain nor explain, she let Meghan have her way and did her best to support the couple who eventually turned on the monarchy in a most vicious and extraordinary way.
