Prince Harry Banned From This Royal Family Event, Will He Go Anyway?

British Royal family news reveals the Palace has once again put quid pro quo loving Prince Harry in his place with a statement that makes it clear he is not invited to this year’s Remembrance Sunday event in the United Kingdom as a Duke. As such he cannot join the real royal family, although if he crashes the gate he will be allowed to stay as a private citizen.

Prince Harry Has Been Told He Won’t Be Allowed To Join His Fellow Royals At Remembrance Sunday

A Buckingham Palace source told The Sun that Harry won’t be able to pay his tributes at the Cenotaph as a royal, but experts have speculated that he might make an appearance owing to his military service. This year the Royals will hold a “closed-door” memorial commemoration for Remembrance Day from the Buckingham Palace balcony.

The source stated Harry is, “no longer a working royal,” he, “cannot join his family at the Cenotaph.” In the absence of Prince Harry Prince Charles, Princess Anne and Prince William will lay poppy wreaths on the Cenotaph together with a small group of veterans.

The source said, “He would be able to attend in his capacity as a former soldier who served his country well in Afghanistan.”

The speculation of his return for the ceremony was started after it was revealed that the residence he snubbed, Frogmore Cottage, was being prepared. A royal source told the paper, “Staff at Windsor have been told to prepare it for the possibility Harry could come back.”

Nonetheless, Prince Harry has said he won’t be returning to the UK this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. In a video call with the Rugby Football League this summer Harry said he, “would have been back already had it not been for COVID.”

One wonders if he has any desire to return following the spectacularly wretched way in which he left his family and his country for a life of, “financial freedom,” in America?

About Harry and his expatriate status, a royal source told Vanity Fair, “Global travel has been made very complicated by the coronavirus pandemic and at the moment the Duke has no plans to travel back to the UK, certainly not before Christmas. The problem is if he comes over then he has to quarantine and that makes things quite difficult.”

Instead, it has been reported that he and Meghan Markle will spend Christmas together in their new mansion with Katherine McPhee and her husband David Foster, described as Harry’s “surrogate father.”
