But in one of his interviews, Harry stunned with his defense of illicit drugs. And he even claimed that his druggy experiments helped with his grief. Get all the details below.

Prince Harry – Admits Using Illegal Drugs For ‘Grief’

The Duke of Sussex comes from a royal family known for avoiding revelations. But as his memoir and recent interviews show, Harry has defied that tradition. And the Duke of Sussex’s new interviews go into stunning detail about what drugs he took and why.

As a result of Anderson Cooper’s questioning on 60 Minutes via CBS, Prince Harry discussed his memoir Spare for the first time on United States television. And while Cooper’s questions varied from Harry’s late mom Princess Diana to therapy, many viewers felt shocked at the Duke of Sussex’s comments on his drug use. However, Harry defended experimenting with psychedelics in particular.

Because of his grief over his mother’s tragic death, Harry decided to try out experimental methods of overcoming his sorrow. And Cooper pointed out, “You write in the book about psychedelics. Ayahuasca, psilocybin, mushrooms. They were actually important to you.”

Duke Of Sussex – Recommends Psychedelic Drugs For ‘Medicine’

However, before answering Cooper’s question, Prince Harry warned about recreational use of psychedelic drugs. And  he stressed, “I would never recommend people to do this recreationally. But doing it with the right people, if you are suffering from a huge amount of loss, grief or trauma, then these things have a way of working as a medicine.”

And the 60 Minutes interviewer noted that the Duke of Sussex believed that psychedelic drugs actually offered Harry a new view of life. “They showed you something,” shared Cooper, basing his comment and question on Harry’s memoir. “What did they show you?”

Reflecting on his experiments with illegal drugs, the Duke of Sussex claimed that psychedelics helped him to connect to his late mother Princess Diana. And he explained, “For me, they cleared the windscreen, the windshield, the misery of loss.” After taking different types of drugs such as mushrooms, Harry succeeded in changing his perspective on his mother’s death.

Prince Harry – Feels Drugs Linked Him To Princess Diana’s Wishes

Using psychedelics such as ayahuasca, psilocybin, and mushrooms “cleared away this idea that I had in my head,” said the Duke of Sussex. And he feels that his drug experiments changed his perception that he “needed to cry to prove to my mother that I missed her. When in fact, all she wanted was for me to be happy,” added Harry.

However, Harry didn’t reveal if he still would experiment with drugs. But the Duke of Sussex did go on a late night talk show that showed his fondness for alcohol. And that offered the opportunity to relax with tequila shots, noted the Daily Mail.

But in exchange for the tequila, Harry faced questions from The Late Show host Stephen Colbert. And Colbert put Harry in the hot seat with a quiz. It consisted of 15 questions that the talk show host promised covers all types of human experience. However, no word on whether it included drug experiments!
