That’s because according to some of these “publications” (the term is used loosely), Prince Harry was foreseen becoming the epitome of what it means to be a good dad because … “Soccer.”
Yes, indeed, according to the accounts of Prince Harry’s friends and family, they all “knew” Harry would become king of fatherhood because he played well, kicking a soccer ball around the field with his cousin, Zara Tindall’s children. Of course, as every fan of the British Royal family and Prince Harry knows, soccer is the secret ingredient that all good fathers incorporate into their roles as good dads. That’s apparently true the world over!
Honestly, Prince Harry might be a good father to Archie. It’s still a bit early to tell, however, considering the fact that Archie is only a year old. Let’s see how Prince Archie Mountbatten-Windsor turns out as an adult, shall we? That will be the final say as to how great a father Prince Harry turned out to be won’t it?
With that said, there are a number of things that Prince Harry could probably do, outside of playing soccer with his son of course, that might help ensure his status as a dad of gold. First, Prince Harry ought to jump in and actually participate in raising Archie … as in, changing poop diapers, getting peed on when taking a naked baby to the bath, washing bottles, bouncing, and soothing an inconsolable, screeching Archie to sleep, and more.
Secondly, Prince Harry can be a consistent role model to Archie (and to any other children he may one day have). Prince Harry can show Archie how to be respectful to women, by being respectful and loving to Meghan, by fighting fairly without screaming or cursing (especially around Archie), and by always keeping his word.
The bottom line is that while tabloids gush about idiotic “signs” that prove Prince Harry is going to be an amazing dad, it takes so much more than kicking a ball around in the grass. What Archie will want most from Harry, what he’ll remember most … is time spent with Harry. That’s true whether it’s time with Harry playing soccer, video games, or reading bedtime stories. That’s something Harry needs to remember always.
The truth is that if Harry sticks to the things that matter in a relationship with Meghan, and if he sticks to things that actually matter in terms of being who Archie needs him to be … then Harry will indeed be an amazing man that Archie will someday be proud to call his father.
