Prince Harry Feeling Like A ‘Spare’ All Over Again After Being Upstaged By Meghan Markle

Growing up, Prince Harry has always felt like a spare to big brother Prince William – and you can’t blame him for that, he actually is the spare. Now that he’s left the Monarchy behind for a life in California, the feeling of being a spare is yet to completely fade into distant memory.

The thing is, with Meghan Markle’s prior knowledge of Hollywood, the former actress is feeling like she should take center stage during their public appearances and Harry is reportedly not very happy about it.

Prince Harry’s memoir ‘Spare’ was basically about what it was like growing up in the shadown of a big brother, who is one day destined to be the King. Even though he currently enjoys a quiet family life in his multi-million dollar Montecito mansion, he is still out to prove that service is universal.

One of the ways he’s doing that is with his tours, which he uses to promote his charities. However, during his and Meghan’s visit to Nigeria and Colombia, Meghan was always taking center stage.

A source close to the Sussex couple told The Sun: “Harry is feeling more and more isolated in California, which is why he has been reconnecting with old friends back home. The Colombia trip also really highlighted how Meghan is comfortable stepping into the spotlight, while Harry cuts a very sulky, unhappy figure in the background.”

The insider continued: “He wants to carve out a way back into royal life back in the UK and is seeking counsel from old friends and associates.”

When it comes to healing the rifts he has created with his many interviews, docuseries, TV appearances and his one book ‘Spare’ – which, oh, he is looking forward to re-releasing again this fall – his friends admit that there is much work to be done.

According to sources, the Duke, 39, is not looking forward to changing or updating anything in the memoir, especially not the part where he accused William of calling Meghan “rude,” “difficult,” and “abrasive.”
