In August, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made their way back to the UK with their young children, but it seems like their relationship with the Royal Family continues to remain as fractured as ever.
In fact, according to the Daily Express, the Sussexes have been dumped by their remaining allies and are currently drifting like an island within the family they once willfully abandoned.
Prince Harry No Longer Has A Relationship With These Once-close Cousins
After spending six years abroad, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently returned to the UK. The move was advertised as something that could eventually lead to the Sussexes finally mending their relationship with the Royal Family.
At least, we know King Charles would love to know that his grandkids are basically a hop, skip and a jump away from him.
But, apart from the benefits that the aging monarch would no doubt get by being close to his previously Montecito-based grandchildren, will any other member of the Royal Family be jumping for joy at this development?
Well, the only relative that has publicly addressed the Sussexes’ return comes in the way of Eliza Spencer. The rest has remained eerily quiet, including two princesses Harry used to enjoy a close bond with.
Royal commentator Natasha Cannell thought it weird that Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice are yet to welcome the Sussexes back to the UK.
“They know which side their bread is buttered,” the royal commentator, who goes by the handle According2taz online, said. “If they’d have continued to side with Harry and Meghan, they would have lost their lifeline, which is the Royal Family.”
“They’re going to want to keep that lifeline open to the Royals,” she added. “If it means cutting off Meghan, I don’t think they had a problem with that, but Harry as well. But he deserves it.”
Another source, who previously spoke to HELLO, also claimed that Harry has a few friends left from the old days.
As for his and Meghan’s relationship with Beatrice and Eugenie, the source added, “Harry and Meghan are not so close to Beatrice and Eugenie anymore, and Harry did not see Eugenie over the summer in Portugal.”
They then noted, “[Harry and Meghan] are going to have to make some serious social inroads and gatherings to get back in the fold.”
